The lining is the right length and does not peek below the hem, which is such a common problem with lined skirts. It also prevents the outer fabric from clinging to tights in winter. Thoughtfully done.

I walk a lot and skirts that ride up with each stride are a constant frustration. This one stays exactly where it is meant to be. The weight of the fabric and the cut together prevent it entirely.
